Most gardens are handed over with a handshake and an invoice. We hand yours over with a documented build pack, so years later there is never a question about what was built, what it was built from, or where anything runs underground. It is the design-and-build promise made tangible: one firm did the drawings and the work, and one firm gives you the full record at the end.

What you get when we hand over

• An as-built record of what we built: the patio falls and base, the pond structure and filtration, the drainage, the levels. The bits that matter and the bits you never see once they are finished.
• A materials and planting schedule. The exact paving, aggregate, timber, pointing, pumps and plants we used, so you can match, reorder or repair.
• A map of what runs underground. Where the drainage, soakaway, pond liner, cabling and membranes sit, so a future spade, post or fence goes in safely.
• A season-by-season care guide for your garden, written for the surfaces and features you actually have, not a generic leaflet.
• Your warranties and accreditations, including the manufacturer warranties we have registered on your behalf.

Why a documented build matters

A garden is buried work as much as it is the finish. Get the base, the falls and the drainage right and a patio is flawless for decades; the documented build is the proof of how it was done. It is also practical insurance: the services map stops a future job finding a cable or the pond liner the hard way, and the materials schedule means a repair matches rather than patches.

• What is a documented build and handover pack?

  It is the record you receive at the end of your project: an as-built summary of what we built, the materials and plants we used, a map of what runs underground, your warranties, and a season-by-season care guide. It is included on our design-and-build projects.

• What is included in the pack?

  Before, during and after photos (and drone footage where we have it), an as-built record with key dimensions and levels, a materials and planting schedule, a buried-services and drainage map, manufacturer and workmanship warranties, and a care guide for your garden.

• Do you provide an as-built plan showing where services run?

  Yes. We mark where the drainage, soakaway, pond liner, cabling and membranes sit, and photograph the groundwork before it is covered, so a future spade, post or fence goes in without finding a cable or pipe.

• Do you give a guarantee or warranty?

  Yes. You get a workmanship guarantee plus the manufacturer warranties on products such as paving and pumps, which we register for you. We are a Resin Mill Elite Installer and an FMB and APL member, and we lay porcelain on a full adhesive bed, which is why we warranty it.

• How do I look after a new patio, pond or lawn?

  Your pack includes a care guide written for what we built. In short: sweep new paving rather than pressure-washing it at first, let a new pond settle its own biology rather than scrubbing it out, and water new turf and planting well through the first season.

• Is the handover pack an extra cost?

  The standard documented handover is part of our design-and-build service, not an add-on you have to ask for. A deluxe documented build, with a printed portfolio and a filmed piece of your project, is available as an option.
